Absurd startup company ‘Part Time Pets’ have received immense criticism over its service to supply terminally ill pets to owners who “Don’t have the time for a long-term commitment”.
Animal welfare groups have been left confused after trying to work out the moral implications of such a business model.
Activist Alysia Hilman from the Animal Protection Society told us how she felt about starting a demonstration against the new company:
“I think what they’re doing is wrong. But I can’t be sure so i won’t bother”
Part Time Pets Director Erik Winslow said that what his company was doing was a “Win, win situation”.
Terminally ill pets deserve a loving home as much as healthy ones. All we are doing is matching these lonely animals with owners who don’t mind if the thing dies within a couple of months. Think of it as a hospice service for animals – a hospice service for animals where someone profits”
One recent customer told Bluffington “For 50 quid we got a tumour-clad poodle for Christmas and binned it before Spring”.
